Slither.io
Released in 2016, Slither.io is a real-time multiplayer game where you control a snake and compete against other players online. The main goal is simple: become the longest snake in the arena while avoiding collisions with others.
GAMEPLAY: EAT, GROW, AND SURVIVE
In Slither.io, your snake grows by consuming glowing orbs scattered across the map. The more you eat, the longer and stronger you become.
However, danger is always present:
- If your head hits another snake, you instantly die
- Your body turns into glowing pellets for others to consume
- Other players will try to trap or outplay you
A key mechanic is the boost ability:
- Hold left-click to move faster
- Boosting consumes your mass, making you smaller
- Lost mass appears as a trail of pellets that can be re-collected
This creates a strategic balance between speed and survival.

SPECIAL ORBS AND RESOURCES
Glowing Orbs (From Defeated Snakes)
When a snake is eliminated, it leaves behind a large number of glowing pellets. These provide significantly more mass than normal orbs and are key to rapid growth.
Floating Orbs
These rare orbs move around the map and try to escape when approached. They are harder to catch but reward you with a large amount of mass, making them highly valuable.
