Gorilla Tag is a social multiplayer game that throws out traditional movement mechanics and instead lets players navigate the world like gorillas using their hands. You push off surfaces, grab onto ledges, and scramble up walls and trees as you roam and play in dynamic maps filled with other players.

In Gorilla Tag, movement is at the core of the experience, with all locomotion driven by hand movements rather than joysticks or buttons. Players launch themselves by pushing off the ground or walls, chain jumps through terrain, and climb vertical surfaces to gain the edge over opponents or evade pursuers.
Core Game Modes
- Casual Mode: Free-roam and social play with no strict objectives.
- Infection: Start with one infected gorilla and try to tag others until everyone is “Lava Monke.”
- Hunt Mode: Each player has a unique target to chase and tag.

This game offers a wide range of maps, each with distinct topography and interactive elements that influence movement and strategy. Maps like Forest, Canyon, City, Mountain, Basement, Beach, Clouds, and Metropolis all present different layouts—from open tree-filled spaces to vertical canyons, icy slides, maze-like basements, and glider-friendly skies—requiring players to adapt their parkour techniques and choose routes that best suit their play style.
