Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is a survival horror point-and-click game developed by Scott Cawthon and released in 2014. Serving as a prequel to the original Five Nights at Freddy’s, the game places you in the role of a night security guard at a newly revamped Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, where hostile animatronics lurk around every corner. Your mission is simple yet terrifying — survive from midnight to 6 AM for five consecutive nights without being jumpscared.

HOW TO SURVIVE IN FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S 2

In Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, you must monitor 11 camera locations to track animatronic movements and defend yourself using a unique set of tools. Unlike the first game, there are no protective doors—instead, you rely on putting on the Freddy Fazbear mask to deceive most animatronics and the flashlight to check dark hallways and vents. A key mechanic is keeping the music box wound up in the Prize Corner; if it stops, the Puppet will appear and kill you regardless of any defenses.

Guide To Play

  • Mouse Movement – Navigate cameras and office controls.
  • Left Click – Interact with cameras, masks, music boxes, or flashlights.
  • Freddy Mask Button – Click to put on or remove the mask when animatronics approach.
  • Flashlight – Press and hold Spacebar or CTRL to use the flashlight in hallways and vents.

New Elements in FNAF 2

  • No Security Doors: Unlike the previous game, FNAF 2 removes office doors. Players must rely on the Freddy Fazbear mask to avoid most animatronics.
  • More Animatronics: the game features a much larger roster, including Toy animatronics, Balloon Boy, Mangle, and The Puppet, increasing unpredictability.
  • Music Box Mechanic: Players have to constantly wind up the Prize Corner music box to prevent The Puppet from attacking — a mechanic not present in FNAF 1.
  • Limited Flashlight Power: The flashlight now has its own power limit, adding extra pressure during hallway checks.
