GAMEPLAY OVERVIEW

Google Doodle Baseball puts you in the batter’s box, where your main mission is to score as many runs as possible before striking out. Timing is everything — swing when the ball crosses your hitting zone to launch it into the outfield. The better your timing, the greater your chances of hitting home runs and racking up points.

Pitch Types and Difficulty

Not all pitches are created equal. The color of the ball hints at its speed and difficulty:

Green / Blue – Slow and easy to connect with.
Purple / Yellow – Faster and trickier to hit.
Red – The fastest, most challenging pitch of all.

Your reflexes, prediction skills, and reaction time will be tested as the game cycles through these different pitch types.

The Baseball Field

The action unfolds on a traditional baseball field with three main areas:

Infield (Diamond) – A 90-foot square with the four bases and the pitcher’s mound in the center. Most plays happen here.
Outfield – Split into left, right, and center, with warning tracks near the fences to alert fielders they’re running out of space.
Foul Territory – The space outside the foul lines, determining whether a hit is fair or foul.
