Battleship

Battleship is a classic turn-based naval strategy game where two players compete to destroy each other's hidden fleet. Before the battle begins, both sides secretly deploy their ships across a grid-based ocean map. Once the game starts, every shot becomes a test of logic, memory, and tactical thinking as you attempt to locate and sink every enemy vessel before your own fleet is eliminated.

BATTLESHIP - OUTSMART YOUR OPPONENT IN AN EPIC NAVAL BATTLE

Deploy Your Fleet Strategically

Each battle begins by placing your fleet on your own 10×10 ocean grid. Ships vary in length, so careful positioning is essential.

A well-planned fleet layout makes your ships more difficult to discover. Placing vessels too close together or following predictable patterns can make them easier targets once your opponent begins scoring hits.

Fire at Enemy Coordinates

After deployment, players take turns selecting coordinates on the enemy grid. Each attack produces one of three results:

  • Miss – No ship occupies the selected square.
  • Hit – You successfully strike part of an enemy ship.
  • Sunk – Every section of a ship has been destroyed.

Use Logic to Track the Enemy Fleet

Battleship rewards observation just as much as luck. As the battle progresses, you'll gradually eliminate impossible locations while narrowing down where larger ships may be hiding.

Remembering previous hits and misses allows you to predict the most likely positions for the remaining enemy fleet and avoid wasting attacks.

Sink Every Ship to Win

The objective is straightforward: destroy every enemy ship before they sink yours. Because both players possess identical fleets, victory depends entirely on superior strategy, careful deduction, and efficient targeting rather than stronger equipment or special abilities.

Tips for Winning Battles

  • Avoid placing ships in obvious patterns or clustered together.
  • Spread your attacks across the board early to gather information quickly.
  • After scoring a hit, target adjacent squares to determine the ship's direction.
  • Keep track of every previous shot to eliminate impossible positions.
  • Save isolated corners until later unless your remaining targets are small ships.
